Lucy's Baby Blessing

Lucy received the most beautiful baby blessing from her daddy yesterday. So many members of our family came to support us and shower Lucy with love.  Definitely a special day! It also hit us pretty hard that we're parents to a lovely little girl and that she was meant for our family.

Mike and I have always wanted kids.  When I went through the temple to receive my Endowments, I felt like a little girl was pulling on my sleeve impatiently as if to say "hurry up already, I'm ready to come!"  Unfortunately, we struggled with infertility before we were blessed with little Lucy.  When I found out that I was pregnant, I felt so strongly that it would be a little girl.  I know after yesterday that Lucy was that precious spirit nagging me to "hurry up" so she could join our family.

^^^Lucy looked so beautiful!  Also adorable.  Miraculously- the dress made it through the day unmarked and unstained!

^^^My mom and two nieces came all the way from Coaldale to visit for the week and be there for Lucy's blessing.

^^^Rylie LOVES to hold, feed and hang out with Lucy.  Lucy loves her a lot as well.

^^^All of Mike's siblings and their families came just for Lucy.  Mike, Uncle Tim, Uncle Aaron, Uncle John, Daniel, Bishop Coombs and Great Uncle Wolsey all participated in the baby blessing. 

^^^After Lucy's blessing, we went to her Uncle Tim and Auntie Kirsten's for a family get together.  All of the cousins wanted to hold, cuddle and love on Lucy (sooo many pictures) but I had to share this one!  Little Joshua is no longer the youngest cousin in the Olsen family and he seems pretty happy about it.  He even helped me feed her a bottle. 

All in all it was a beautiful day!  We can't wait for all the future blessings and ordinances Lucy will get to take part in as she gets older.  Families are truly forever.
