Mike was born and raised in Vermillion, Alberta. He served a two year ASL mission in Houston, Texas and then completed a Bachelor of Secondary Education Degree specializing in Social Studies and English.
Mike is currently teaching English and Drama at a middle school in Edmonton.
Kirsten was born in Redhill, England. She completed her Bachelor of Secondary Education Degree specializing in English and Social Studies in June 2016. One short month after completing her degree, Lucy Elise Olsen was born.
Kirsten is currently enjoying being a stay at home mom.
Together:Mike and Kirsten were introduced by Kirsten's best friend friend and roommate. After the first date, they were both hooked.
Mike proposed to Kirsten on Boxing Day 2013. It had been months in the making! Mike might even say that Kirsten had been dropping "put a ring on it" hints for months. They got married on August 23, 2014 in the Cardston Alberta Temple.
Lucy Elise joined the Olsen family on July 30th.
