To whom this may concern,
I have taken the initiative to take over my human's clicky button machine to make a statement. My time spent studying my humans this past year has accumulated dire results. They are nomadic people who can not stay in one place longer than I have time to take a nap. Granted, they did relocate their place of dwelling, which turned out be the best decision they ever made. Now, I have space to do important daily routines such as sleeping and eating these little nuggets of happiness my humans call 'cat food'. I call it survival. If it weren't for these little bits of sustenance, I would be dead. No word of a lie. I believe that the humans made the change of living quarters because of the addition. They have been collecting and gathering supplies for some time now. One of the humans went through a period of expanding, which led to the arrival of the addition. When the addition arrived, the humans spent a lot of time attending to it. Initially, this was a relief to have the addition around. The human's focus was spent primarily on it instead of me. For months the human's insisted that I was the center of their daily ritual of holding me and running their fingers through my coat of identity. I would tolerate this ritual for a time, but it became excessive and I had no choice but to retaliate. I used to use my blades of wrath to make my escape. The humans caught on to my tactics. I thought I had the advantage in the power struggle between myself and the humans. Then they took me to different humans who took my blades away and placed me in a device of incapability. It inhibited my life in every possible way. My humans eventually came and rescued me, they seemed genuinely concerned for my well-being and nursed me back to health after bargaining for my life. For that, I will be forever in their debt. They weren't able to retrieve my blades of wrath however. Instead, I have learned to rely on my bite to get me out of tight situations.
Now, with the addition taking my place in the human's ritual. I have been ignored drastically. I am grateful for the addition and its willingness to take my place, and for that... I will show mercy to it. However, because I have been replaced, the humans have started to neglect my welfare. I have been forced to scavage for water and food in the most strange places. I often make myself known by placing myself under the feet of my humans. They can't ignore me when I make them immobile. My research has been placed on the back burner for now, or until I can get the humans to take me seriously and to put me first. Or at least before their own needs like before. I am starting to fear that they are the ones grooming me to become self-reliant when everyone knows that cats are catered to. You can spell catered without cat... which is obviously the root word. Common sense, to say the least.
That being said, the Humans and their addition have shown affection towards me and each other. If there is anything my research has shown, it is clear that change is enviable. These humans are a loving specimen that I have learned a lot from. They are living evidence that life is good. They are a funny sort, but they are my funny sort. I will keep them for the time being.
