Needles, Needles, Needles

Yesterday Lucy had her two month vaccinations.

Also - SURPRISE!

I got some vaccines as well.  Apparently, I had no immunity to the Chicken Pox.  This was a problem that had to be rectified.  Two needles for me. (Whooping Cough/ Tetanus & Chicken Pox).

Lucy was a smiley little baby the whole morning leading up to her appointment.  We ran some errands, she had a glorious nap and was even giggling.  Once she was weighed (50th percentile for height and 90th percentile for weigh thank-you-very-much) and we were called into the exam room she knew something was up.

She watched with a horrified expression as I got my needles.

At first she was surprised that someone would do something so peculiar.  Then the pain hit her and she screamed.  Thankfully, she settled down fast and napped for the rest of the day.  Today, on the other hand has been a different story.

On a completely unrelated note - Lucy won a draw for free photos!  The photographer came today.  Lucy in all her post-vaccine glory made his job incredibly difficult.  She would smile at the camera, look at the photographer then turn away or start crying.

I'm sure some pictures will turn out...we will see!
