Speaking of which...
Mike "surprised" Lucy and I today with a trip to the Haunted Pumpkin Festival at Prairie Gardens. I say "surprised" because he's been acting weird since earlier this week and whenever I'd ask him what his face was all about all he'd say is "you'll see..." or "what's your Saturday look like?" Which made this weekend doubly awesome - General Conference and Pumpkins. What more could a girl ask for?
^^^Two things: selfie sticks make family pictures pretty convenient and kids' corn mazes are our jam. Lucy may have fussed basically the whole time because she got hungry...but hey. Memories.
^^^This makes me smile/ laugh because the corn maze was really more for Mike and I. While Lucy was awake, the only thing she really cared about was a) her bottle, b) her blankie, and c) being patted on the back. She was pretty indifferent to the whole thing.
^^^We tried to go to a magic show...but Lucy was not happy about it because she didn't want me to sit while she was being carried. She prefers the gentle sway of standing...(read: Lucy has refused naps since transitioning her to her crib and doesn't like much). So instead we were serenaded by these lovelies.
^^^When we were living on the west end, Mike and I went to Galaxyland...because why not. The stupid thing was...well we also decided to go through the haunted house. I still have emotional and mental scares. Mike thought it'd be fun to go through the haunted house at Prairie Gardens...but after taking a peek thought better of it.
It was an awesome trip! We were able to pick up a little family of white pumpkins and managed to just miss this rain...
